- Offensively, the Tigers are starting a running back without a single career touchdown. Senior Nick Brossette has 306 career yards with zero scores and sophomore Clyde Edwards-Helaire has just 31 career rushing yards. LSU is seriously lacking experience and a true number one back for the first time in a long, long time. Who ever is back there will be running behind a solid left side of the offensive line, but are fairly inexperienced at center and right guard. There absolutely will be chances for Miami’s tenacious defense to penetrate.
- On the other side of the ball, it is tough to find a hole anywhere. There is just so much talent all over. The defensive backfield is ridiculous with Greedy Williams leading the way. Former five-star corner Kristian Fulton was deemed eligible recently after being freed of a potential two-year suspension by the NCAA for not passing a drug test. Somehow a young man’s future was almost ruined, but a grown adult can get a slap on the wrist for covering up acts of domestic violence for years. Funny world we live in.
